It feels to me that a great deal of the imagery and ideas that flow through these experiences are common in most cultures no matter how separated they are by time and geography. I don’t know if this is a product of a spiritual connection or evolutionary psychology, personally I don’t think it matters they both point to the interconnectedness of humanity and that is what I want to make art about.
